Location: Home and Office (based in Darlington)

Salary: £35k - £45k +Pension + Life Assurance + Flexible Working Hours

Hours: 35 hours per week, flexitime

The Client:

A leading global supplier of software systems is seeking a professional, experienced Mid Level Developer to join their team.

You will have a proven track record of software and website development utilising C#, SQL, and .NET stack.

Our client have over 30 years of experience in software development and supplies a complete range of products backed by technical support and consulting services.

Their specialist teams combine chemistry, hazardous materials expertise, computer programming, quality assurance and project management skills that deliver the most efficient and user-friendly systems available.

The successful applicant will be based in there newly refurbished, spacious, modern offices.

The Role:

As a Mid Level Developer you will be a skilled software engineer with a passion for outstanding development.

You will contribute to the ongoing design of the clients application architecture having a creative input into the look and feel of their applications.

The work will be a mixture of improvements to legacy software on the .NET Framework stack, as well as greenfield projects on the .NET Core stack.

You will be a keen problem-solver, with the ability to investigate, understand and resolve issues (whether working alone or as part of a team) using strong communication skills and attention to detail.

The company will provide you with the tools and hardware to work efficiently; they use Microsoft DevOps and Visual Studio 2019 with ReSharper, and regularly review tools that can enhance the development experience.

They believe in continuous learning, and aim to support ongoing skill development.

Friday afternoons are set aside for training, and all developers receive access to Pluralsight.

The company also send some of their developers to conferences such as NDC London each year.

Experience / Essential Skills:

* Demonstratable skills in web and software development
* Excellent development ability and understanding of C#, .NET programming, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
* An understanding of design patterns and clean code principles
* Able to interpret requirements, and translate these into technical solutions
* Able to work in a multidisciplinary environment and be a good team player
* Meticulous attention to detail, accurate and thorough delivering high quality output to tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work to set timescales
* Passionate about development
* Enthusiastic and motivated


* A degree in computer science or related subject would be an advantage
* Experience with Cognitive service such as AI, Machine Learning etc.
* Experience in business to business software development environment.
* Exposure and understanding of Azure DevOps and deploying to Azure PaaS/IaaS services.
* Experience with user interfaces.
* Experience with distributed version control
* An understanding of Test Driven Design and Agile methodologies
