Commercial New Business DeveloperCheshuntSalary £30k to £40k DOEOur client who is leading provider of Insurance and Financial Service is looking for Commercial New Business Developer to join their friendly and busy team.The Commercial New Business Developer will support the client in maintaining retention targets and supporting growth, whilst providing excellent customer service and treating customers fairly.Key roles and responsibilities for the Commercial New Business Developer:
Acquire and maintain knowledge of client’s general insurance products, including product licenses and competencies for your role as applicableSupport the Branch, covering other roles as needed to maintain required levels of customer service within authority limits and to contribute to the effective and efficient running of the BranchResearch, plan, implement and monitor sales & marketing initiatives, including any central campaigns, across all business areas to build a pipeline for opportunitiesPlan and generate publicity for the Agency to raise profile and create opportunities, in accordance with client’s standardsReview and advise (where appropriate) on customer general insurance requirementsMaintain own knowledge and skills to sell professionally and compliantly, delivering a consistently good experience to customers to meet the requirements and standards, T&C scheme and regulators.Plan, prospect, select and sell General Insurance products to target customers that are designed to meet their long-term needs, are compliant with sales quality and advice standards and regulatory requirements, to meet personal and Branch targets.Assess sales performance of staff and provide coaching to enhance performance and maintain adequate recordsInvestigate, consult on and process claims, within licensed authority, applying criteria to prevent loss and fraudCheck, process and manage accounting transactions, including premium collection, policy cancellation refunds and non-payment of premiums, to prevent loss, prevent money laundering.Act as Life Qualifier to obtain appointments for Financial Advisers, Telephone Financial Advisors or Product Information Consultant to meet the Agency targetCo-ordinate and motivate the team to proactively identify Financial Services opportunities.Deal with insurance claims within your authority, for all customers
The Ideal Candidate Key attributes & skills required for the role are:
Be able to communicate effectively, both in written format and verbal expression.Possess good IT skills to use Microsoft programs.Demonstrate attributes of honesty, integrity, due skill, care, and diligence at all times.Ability to demonstrate and evidence appropriate level/s of education applicable for the role.Possess good sales and customer service skills.Have basic knowledge of insurance.Be able to problem solve, use own initiative and judgement.Previous experience in a similar role or commercial experience is required
