Commissioning Engineer Apprentice
Start your career as an Apprentice Commissioning Engineer, working alongside experienced engineers and learning how new equipment and systems are brought safely into operation. You’ll gain hands-on, practical experience on site while working towards your Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician qualification through a structured training apprenticeship.
What you’ll do:
Support the team in preparing equipment and systems for testing and commissioning Help create and update simple documents such as plans, checklists, and instructions Assist with checking equipment is installed correctly before testing begins Take part in factory and site testing to make sure equipment works as expected Work with suppliers and subcontractors to gather information and review documents Help record results, keep documentation up to date, and report any issues to the project team Make sure all work follows safety, quality, environmental, and security requirements Communicate and work with different teams to help the project run smoothlyTraining Outcome:

This work is delivered at NSG’s own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles.
Working Hours :
Week 1 Mon – Thursday 07:30 – 16:45 Friday – 07:30 – 12:30 Week 2 Mon – Thursday 07:30 – 16:45 Friday – Non-working day.
