Electrical Apprentice
Throughout the 4 year Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship, the apprentice will follow technical drawings and Safe Systems of Work to carry out tasks safely and correctly under the guidance of experienced electrical personnel.
Start your career as an Apprentice Electrician, working alongside qualified electricians and gaining hands on experience.
What you'll do:
Install LV (Low Voltage) and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems and equipment Carry out cable installations including containment, trunking, and cable tray systems Perform first fixing works (installing back boxes, containment, cables, and conduit) Perform second fixing works (terminating cables, fitting accessories, and final connections) Work with different cable types including SWA, MICC, FP200, and singles in containment Assist with testing and inspection of installed electrical systemsWork from electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings Help ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and legislative requirements Keep accurate records and documentation

This work is delivered at NSG’s own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK. The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles.
Working Hours :
Week 1 Mon – Thursday 07:30 – 16:45 Friday – 07:30 – 12:30 Week 2 Mon – Thursday 07:30 – 16:45 Friday – Non-working day.
