Apprentice Production Operative

Design department:

Preparing print ready files – checking artwork proofs Provide print production quality assurance and review entire work from concept through to delivery Adhering to efficient waste management Safely operating printers, plotter cutter, lamination machine

Strap Department:

Keeping the production machinery clean at all times Making straps, chafes and pads Measuring and cutting materials Packing, and labelling Following standards of Quality Assurance throughout process
Ensure that all standard operating procedures and processes are followed and adhered Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety & procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times Ensures all areas are kept clean and in line with cleaning procedures
Keep waste to a minimum

Stockinette Department:

Keep stockinette machines cleaned and area tidy Marking up reels Assist in putting stockinette stock away Loading machines with yarn Running stockinette machines Making up reels Weighing and measuring Packing, and labelling Following standards of Quality Assurance throughout process
Ensure that all standard operating procedures and processes are followed and adhered Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety & procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times Ensures all areas are kept clean and in line with cleaning procedures
Keep waste to a minimum

Training:
Monthly 1-to-1 meetings (approx. 2 hours) with a GLP Trainer, either face-to-face or virtually Online learning modules and group sessions Building an electronic portfolio of work-based evidence Maths and English Functional Skills (if necessary). Final assessment by an external examiner, comprising a resourcing project assignment and a professional discussion to complete the qualification

Training Outcome:
Upon completion of apprenticeship there will be opportunities to progress within the company for the correct individual

The CEO/Owner has been in the prosthetic and orthotic profession for over 37 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the company regarding materials and their applications.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 8.00am - 4.30pm and Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm.
