Domestic Supervisor – Chorleywood, Hertfordshire

Location: Burford House Care Home, Rickmansworth Road, Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, WD3 5SQ

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8am to 4pm, shifts across Monday to Sunday

About the Role

As Domestic Supervisor, you will lead and support the Domestic Team to ensure the care home remains clean, comfortable and safe for residents, staff and visitors at all times. Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing all housekeeping and laundry operationsLeading, training and motivating the domestic team to maintain consistently high standardsDeveloping and managing cleaning schedules in line with health and safety requirementsEnsuring compliance with infection control and COSHH regulationsMonitoring stock levels and ordering cleaning supplies as requiredCarrying out regular inspections and addressing any issues promptlyCompleting audits including COSHH, Laundry and Infection ControlCleaning communal areas, corridors, lounges and residents’ rooms while respecting privacyMaintaining and correctly storing all cleaning equipmentSupporting general household duties that promote residents’ comfort, dignity and wellbeing

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

The right to live and work in the UKPrevious experience in housekeeping supervision or management, ideally within a care home or hospitality environmentStrong leadership, organisational and time-management skillsA good understanding of health and safety and infection control proceduresExcellent attention to detail with a caring, positive and proactive approachGood verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required
