We are seeking an experienced Façade Designer to join our Hampshire office on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves office-based work alongside regular site visits to manage surveys, drawings, and quality assurance across multiple projects.
Location: Hampshire (with site visits 3-4 days per week) Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
Create, monitor, and revise assigned façade drawings using relevant company specifications
Conduct site surveys, capturing measurements and photographs to produce accurate drawings
Liaise with Estimating, Commercial, Site Management, and other internal teams to track design and quality issues
Coordinate with manufacturers, external structural engineers, and architects as required
Respond to technical queries and make recommendations to resolve design or site problems
Assist with site inspections to ensure works meet technical quality standards and specifications
Ensure information is available for site set-up from project commencement to completion
Support the Design & Quality Manager in training and advising site management and subcontractors
Monitor KPIs for site management and subcontractors
Attend site and project meetings as needed
Maintain and pass updated subcontractor information to procurement and ordering teams
Collate documentation for compliance with relevant standards for client and funder handovers
Requirements:
Engineering or architecture-related studies or equivalent industry experience
Façade design experience including EWI, cladding, and rainscreen systems
Basic CSCS card
Competent AutoCAD user (3D AutoCAD essential; SketchUp or Revit optional)
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project Probe
Strong communication, organisation, and coordination skills
