Motor Vehicle Service Technician Apprentice
he apprentice will work alongside experienced technicians and learn to carry out a range of tasks including:
Tyre fitting and wheel balancing Brake pads and disc replacement Oil and filter servicing Exhaust repairs Battery replacement Vehicle health checks Assisting with MOT preparation and inspections Maintaining workshop cleanliness and safety standardsAs skills develop, the apprentice will progress to more advanced mechanical tasks under supervision.
Training:
The apprentice will complete off-the-job training with a recognised training provider, typically attending college on a day-release basis.
Training will include practical and theoretical learning, functional skills where required, and regular workplace assessments. Full support will be provided by both the employer and training provider throughout the apprenticeship.
Training Outcome:
Successful completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship can lead to a full-time Motor Vehicle Technician position, with opportunities for further technical development, increased responsibility, and long-term progression within the company.
