Apprentice Work Placement Coordinator
The main purpose of the team is to secure and arrange meaningful, high quality, work placements for students predominantly studying a T Level qualification. A substantial amount of time will be spent working with employers to secure work placements by speaking with them by phone or email and providing them with information, advice and guidance ensuring the placement is suitable. Alongside accurately completing accompanying administration and records.
As an apprentice you will initially start with administration support working in line with processes and procedures, while developing knowledge and understanding of the overall operations of the team. In time, you will progress into arranging work placements for students within select cohorts for your responsibility, whilst receiving ongoing support.
You will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of T Levels, and employer engagement. This role will also involve working alongside a range of internal York College team such as Health, Safety and Welfare, Curriculum Teams, Learning Support and Safeguarding where necessary.
Tasks will include:
Using various ICT applications and software Dealing with student enquiries face-to-face Contacting employers by email and telephone to discuss all aspects of placements Maintain accurate records on college software Liaising with a range of teams within collegeTraining:
You will attend York College on a day release basis for your off-the-job training each week
Training Outcome:
You may be offered a permanent position at the end of your apprenticeship

Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
