Apprentice Dispensary Assistant

Labelling medication for patients due to collect Following work place procedure to ensure this is done correctly Receiving and putting away deliveries AM/PM and ensuring stock is rotated before filling dispensary shelf Greeting patients and handing out their medication/taking medication requests Daily fridge temperature checks ensuring any issues are documented if needed Ordering stock for prescriptions waiting to be fulfilled Filling dossette boxes (weekly medication trays) for patients

Training:
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard Training will take place at the workplace- no need to travel to a college

Training Outcome:
We would hope that the successful applicant would integrate well with the team and become a permanent dispensary assistant with a view to going on to their NVQ Level 3 and other skills

Employer Description:

We are a training GP Practice with 7 GP Partners, 2 registrars, a paramedic, clinical pharmacist and a busy nursing team.  As we are a semi-rural Practice, we run a dispensary which enables us to serve patients who live more than a mile away from the surgery.  We currently have nearly 16,000 patients which makes for a very busy Practice!



Working Hours :
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8.00am - 6.00pm with 40 min lunch break.
