Apprentice Nursery Assistant

Contribute to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of the children. Record children's learning and development journeys, and communicate these with parents, carers, and other key adults. Be actively engaged in great teamwork. Liaise with and support parents, carers, and other family members. Participate in the high-quality care and supervision of all children. Attend activities that are out of working hours (e.g. staff meetings, training, and events, etc.) Be flexible and be prepared to help where needed (including domestic jobs, e.g. preparing meals, and cleaning toys, etc.) Follow the ethos of the nursery, creating a warm and friendly environment. Work alongside the Nursery Owner, Nursery Manager, and staff team. Ensure that EYFS is promoted efficiently and that its policies are followed correctly. Ensure great customer service. Help with the smooth running of the nursery. Read, understand, and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role as deemed appropriate by the Nursery Owner/Nursery Manager. Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

Training:

Working towards your Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Qualification, you'll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via Teams every month - NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including child development from birth to 7 years, safeguarding, promoting wellbeing, supporting activities, purposeful play & educational programmes, and more!

Training Outcome:

You will have the opportunity to progress in the nursery setting.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday - shifts between 7.30am to 6.30pm.
