V05085 - Higher Apprentice Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Technical
Produce engineering drawings, data and documentation in order to facilitate the manufacture, installation, testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis, maintenance, overhaul and removal of electrical and data systems on maritime vessels
This covers propulsion machinery, weapons, sensors, and auxiliary systems (such as water, air conditioning, electronic equipment including programmable logic controllers, power generation and distribution)
Gaining knowledge and expertise of the design and use of electrical, electronic and combat systems to ensure safe embodiment of Capability Insertions
Office-based drawing and document research, along with surveys and validation of systems onboard complex warships
Training:
Engineering manufacturing technician Level 4 (Higher national certificate)
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation
At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
Training Outcome:
