Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice  - SEND Pathway

Key duties include: 

Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and resources.  Support pupils with learning activities, both individually and in groups.  Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.  Provide extra support for pupils with special educational needs (SEND).  Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and outings.  Assist with administrative tasks such as marking, record-keeping, and organising supplies.  Encourage and support pupil engagement, confidence, and progress.  Collaborate with teachers to adapt resources and activities to meet pupils’ needs.  Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils.  Observe and report pupil progress to teachers and senior staff.  To adhere to Health and Safety Regulations. To keep confidential any issues related to Sir Francis Hill Primary School which are deemed confidential.

Training:

The training will be in partnership with Priory Apprenticeships, which offer a strong foundation for a career in education, in a supportive environment. 



Training Outcome:

On completion of the apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity for the role to be made permanent, with the opportunity to undertake further training.

Working Hours :
Hours and working week: 30 hours per week. 39 weeks per year (term-time). Monday to Friday, within the working hours of the school.
