Outdoor Educator – Maths and English Teaching Apprenticeship (Further Education Sector)

Plan, deliver, evaluate and assess Maths and English lessons,
demonstrating a creative and practical approach linked to our outdoor
education ethos and land based/animal care vocational qualifications
• Complete Pearsons Functional skills assessments and paperwork to
ensure young people are gaining correct qualifications
• Complete reports once a term detailing young people’s progress to send to caregivers
• Lead at least one activity club session a week
• Support lunch cover as needed.
• Support other curriculum areas if needed, for cover purposes.
• Commence and complete L5 education and training qualification to begin leading education sessions covering Maths & English. These sessions can be via a small education group or 1:1 according to curriculum.
• Lead and or support Re-engagement/ADO Fusion/external clients 1:1 or group work with service users during term days
• Potential to agency cover the school staff where required



Training:

Term Time Monday online training with training provider

Practical training will be on the apprenticeship for the remaining hours of the post per week

Level 5 Learning and skills teacher apprenticeship standard.



Training Outcome:

Permanent Post applies on successful completion of the apprenticeship to grow a teaching career with ADO Therapy with potential to learn or study further including therapeutic skills to support the career growth

ADO Therapy is a small specialist and evolving private company providing an Alternative Provision (ADO Fusion), interventions and therapy pathways into education for children, young people and adults with animals, wildlife and nature. We are a sister company to ADO River Valley which is a small special independent school on the same site specialising in SEMH

Working Hours :
This post is term-time (40 hours per week Mon-Fri 8.45am-5.15pm, 40 weeks)
