Apprentice Engineering Design Technician

Design and modelling: Create and modify CAD models, technical drawings, and 3D models to company or industry standards. Support and development: Assist senior engineers with sub-elements of projects, contribute to innovative solutions, and help develop components. Research and analysis: Help identify problems, research potential solutions, analyse design criteria, and make recommendations. Technical documentation: Compile design packages, create reports, schedules, and other written documents. Quality assurance: Apply quality assurance procedures to drawings and models, check for accuracy, and provide feedback on designs. Communication: Communicate design information verbally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders. Support in the selection and procurement of materials, ensuring alignment with design intent and budget constraints.

Training Outcome:

Once the apprenticeship has been completed, you may wish to consider higher level qualifications or work based training / development.
