Apprentice Electrician

The apprentice will work with qualified electricians and will learn to install wiring systems within industrial and commercial and some domestic settings. They will learn and deliver containment, wiring systems and equipment, gaining experience and range to meet the apprenticeship standard.

Responsibilities:

The successful apprentice will assist with installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems. You will help with the installation of switches, conduits, outlets and other electrical devices. You will also assist in the repair and maintenance of these systems to ensure they function correctly and safely You will use a variety of equipment which include power construction equipment, testing equipment and power tools to perform your tasks You will help to diagnose electrical problems with a variety of testing devices and help in finding solutions You will communicate and issues, risks or additional tasks to your mentor You will attend Milton Keynes College for practical training and lectures to gain theoretical knowledge of electrical systems You will respect and follow safety procedures and wear the appropriate safety gear to carry out your work

Training:
Installation & Maintenance Electrician Level 3 Training with Milton Keynes College Ongoing training, support and development with the employer

Training Outcome:

On successful completion of your apprenticeship a full-time position will be offered.
