Application Support Lead Apprentice

To help in developing the Datamere utility product GENUS® and related software  Testing recent developments  Assist in fixing customer bugs, and (to a lesser extent) answering queries, and writing reports in SQL  Apply strong verbal and listening skills to develop a clear understanding of the business  Troubleshoot, investigate and solve customers’ issues  Document where necessary – code, release notes, tutorials  Advise management on progress  Training in our development processes in VB.NET, SQL Server

Training:

Velocity apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, they will provide the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and to expand future career prospects.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their programme.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Software Development Technician qualification, with training in how to:  

Write simple code for discrete software components following an appropriate logical approach to agreed standards  Apply appropriate secure development principles to specific software components  Develop user interfaces as appropriate to the type of component being developed  Apply industry standard approaches for configuration management  Functionally test that the deliverables for that component have been met or not

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 with some flexibility from 8.00am.
