Senior Sales Manager

JOB CONTEXTTITLE: Senior Sales Manager - Seasoned Venues - based at Apex & Athenaeum

BASED AT: Athenaeum

REPORTS TO: Managing Partner - Venues

WORKING HOURS: Hours of work will be dictated by the requirements of the job role.

Usual working pattern will be 08.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday with hour lunch break.

Attendance at evening events and very occasionally weekends, is an integral part of the job.

PURPOSE OF JOB: To achieve targeted levels of sales for Seasoned Venues at their contract sites, to manage the sales managers within other Venues units and the sales team on site at the Apex & Athenaeum.


STAFF REPORTING TO JOB: Sales managers, Venues contract sites, Event & Sales Executive role and sales admin role at the Apex & Athenaeum contract

OTHER INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: MP Venues, MP Development, Senior Partner.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: Corporate Clients, Venues and Conference Agents

CORE DUTIES - Seasoned Venues

? To line manage the sales managers within the Seasoned Venues contracts where they manage the sales process.

To ensure a suitable sales and marketing plan is in place for these sites and manage execution of these plans through those sales teams on site at those venues.

CORE DUTIES - Apex & Athenaeum contract

? To execute the sales and marketing plan for both venues in conjunction with the MP Development and undertake proactive duties within this plan
? To ensure efficient handling of all incoming enquiries for the department to achieve the annual sales target for the venues
? Day to day management of the Sales Executive and Sales Admin role to ensure they are working in the best way to convert incoming business opportunities
? Ensure all conversion rates and other monthly reports are submitted for the team at month end and monitored in discussion with the MP
