Welder/Fabrication Engineering Apprentice

Note: All candidates must pass a safety-critical medical and drug & alcohol screening. You’ll combine hands-on experience with technical learning at college, building the skills to become a qualified professional.

Day-to-day, you’ll work on rolling stock vehicles, using a variety of welding equipment to coding standards, operating fabrication machinery, and manufacturing bespoke panels and components. This is a practical role where you’ll learn from experienced mentors while ensuring all welding and fabrication work meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and quality.

Training:

You’ll split your time between college in Milton Keynes and hands-on training at Gemini Rail Services, learning from experienced mentors while building your skills in welding, fabrication, and bespoke component manufacturing. You’ll develop essential techniques, gain technical knowledge, and build a portfolio showcasing your progress. Annual leave must be taken outside college terms to ensure you don’t miss key learning.



Training Outcome:

This is a pathway to develop high level engineers for the future, progression into higher level programs and opportunities within the organisation and Rail industry.
