Social Worker - 0-25 Disabilities
Sirona Medical's Social Work Department are recruiting for a Social Worker for the 0-25 Disabilities Team. The Specialist Autism Team 0-25 Disabilities Service is looking for an experienced social worker who has the knowledge and experience of managing both Children and young adults with Autism (mostly high functioning in mainstream education, mild Learning Disabilities, Mental health difficulties and significant behaviours of concern including transition cases which requires crisis intervention and safety planning at all times.
Knowledge of working in frontline social work teams are essential especially working in Duty and Assessment and Safeguarding teams due to the nature of urgent responses and interventions needed to safeguard and maintain the safety of children and their families who are in crisis.
Ideally the social worker should have a good understanding of the children Act and Care Act legislations, children and Adults safeguarding, Autism/Asperger’s, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Assessment, Deprivation of Liberty safeguard, Continuing Health Care, attending Care Education Treatment Reviews, Care Programme Approach, transforming care, hospital discharge planning meeting, EHCP reviews, court experience and writing statements, attending complex panels/tripartite panels and dealing with very complex children and their families.To apply for this role you must have:A relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work/DipSW or equivalent)Be Social Work England RegisteredBe eligible to work within the UK
