Construction and the Built Environment Skills Trainer
Protocol is excited to be working with a Further Education College based in Nottingham to recruit for an experienced Construction and the Built Environment Skills Trainer on a full-time or part-time, temporary basis.
The college is committed to providing a broad range of academic subjects and has seen significant investment in recent years.
The department is looking for passionate and motivated people to join the expanding team.
The successful candidate will be working with full-time students on courses across Level 4 NVQ & HNC programmes whilst ensuring the high standards of the institution are met.
This position could be temporary-to-permanent for the right person! There is one full-time position and one part-time (0.6) position available.
£25 - £32 per hour plus statutory holiday pay
To manage and monitor the progress of a caseload of learners, organise workplace assessment visits and provide a point of proactive and regular contact with employers.
To produce and monitor individual training plans for learners and contribute to their updating, encompassing all elements of the delivery programme.
To conduct work based assessments and internal verification in line with Awarding Body requirements.
To develop appropriate work based assessment materials to support skills, knowledge and behaviours.
To provide appropriate, constructive and timely written feedback, in accordance with college policies, to prepare learners for their end-point assessment activities.
Must Have Level 4 HNC in either Construction or Civil Engineering
NVQ in either of the above disciplines
A1 Assessor Award
(Desirable for 0.6 role) DTLLS or equivalent Teacher Training.
Experience of Assessing and Teaching Level 4 NVQ & HNC.
Knowledge of/Experience of Apprenticeship Standards in CIBE.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain)
