Finance & Business Operations Manager

Job Description:

Our client a thriving privately owned investment office are looking for an individual with excellent attention to detail and working towards their CA qualification or equivalent to take up the role of Finance and Business Operations Manager within their operations team.
The finance and business operations role forms a key part of the operations team, where the successful candidate will support the COO and CEO in the day-to-day operations of the company.

The primary function of this role is to ensure that the financial and regulatory reporting needs of the company are well served.

The role will involve managing the relationships with the companies outsourced bookkeeper and accountant to ensure that our financial statements, VAT & Corporation tax return, and regulatory filings are prepared accurately and in a timely fashion.

Essential Skills/Experience:


Analytical and process driven person with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable documenting procedures.
Qualified or working towards CA or equivalent.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Highly numerate, proficient use of Xero, receipt bank and MS Office suite especially Excel & PowerPoint.
Confident with 3-statement forecasting.
Strong IT skills
Team player within a small company, collaborator and strong communicator.


Core Responsibilities:

Oversee expense and sales invoicing
Oversee Payroll and Expenses
Production forecasts
Prepare relevant financial information for regulatory filings
Ongoing appraisal of existing contracts and ensuring that costs are in line with expectations
Preparation of information files for audit purposes
Evaluating existing finance and business systems and procedures and recommending and implementing improvements
Oversee and enhance internal communication between Investment Management and Advisory teams
Oversee and enhance external communication including sales and marketing literature
Ownership of existing CRM and Intranet application and taking lead of future development projects
