We are looking for an experienced Tekla Draughtsman to join a busy design team on a full-time, office-based basis in Bedfordshire. This is a permanent role offering long-term stability within a growing architectural metalwork department.
Location: Bedfordshire (office based) Hours: 8:00 - 17:30 with a 30-minute lunch break Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per year (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP Bonus: Eligible for an annual company-performance bonus after one year (Employee Owned Trust scheme)
Key Responsibilities:
Create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings in Tekla for metalwork packages including balconies, balustrades, staircases, and associated steelwork
Produce GA drawings, fabrication details, and issue complete drawing packs for manufacture
Work closely with the internal engineer and design manager to ensure all work is coordinated, compliant, and practical for fabrication
Liaise with project teams to meet programme requirements and client expectations
Ensure all detailing aligns with current UK building regulations and industry standards
Requirements:
Strong Tekla Structures, structural steel & architectural metalwork experience, heavy emphasis on architectural metalwork
Confident understanding of fabrication methods and workshop processes
Familiar with UK building regulations and detailing standards
High attention to detail, able to work independently and within a team
Office-based role in Bedfordshire (site surveys not required)
