Assistant Building Surveyor - South East London - Up to £40,000 per annum

Our client, a respected and forward-thinking property consultancy, is seeking an experienced Assistant Building Surveyor to join their team in Eltham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in social housing and building services who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out building inspections, condition surveys, and diagnostic assessments

Preparing clear and accurate reports, specifications, and schedules of work

Supporting senior surveyors on repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment programmes

Liaising with tenants, contractors, housing officers, and other stakeholders

Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, safety standards, and housing requirements

About You

Proven experience within social housing and building services is essential

Strong understanding of repairs, planned maintenance, and property compliance

Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload

Confident dealing with tenants and contractors

Proactive, practical, and able to problem-solve on site
