V05216 - Advanced Apprentice Engineering Technical

Year 1:

You will undertake your training at the Academy for Skills and Knowledge at Samlesbury You will be trained in both practical and theory-based engineering You will learn the basics to give you a grounding for completing your placements

Years 2 to 4:

Most placements will be office-based, using computer-based tools with interaction with our customers, suppliers and aircraft You will continue with academic studies, including an HNC in aeronautical Engineering (1 day a week at college) You will complete six placements within the Air business You will gain experience in engineering areas, including design, systems, in-service support, flight test, mission systems and integration You will gain experience in the aircraft lifecycle 

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.



Training Outcome:

Approximately 95% of apprentices choose to stay on with us. As a global business, there are a world of opportunities – whether you decide to stay in the UK, or explore an overseas role.
