Heavy Goods Vehicle Apprentice
Assist qualified fitters with inspection, servicing, and repair of HGVs and bulk tankers.
Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Support in conducting routine maintenance in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
Help to maintain workshop cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards.
Learn to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment safely and correctly.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
Develop a strong understanding of tanker systems, including compressors, blowers, and pressure/vacuum systems.
Training:
Training Location - Hartlepool College.
Training Course - Level 3 HGV Standards Apprenticeship.
Training will be one day a week.
Training Outcome:
Once qualified, you will be well-placed to build a long-term career at Halcyon Tankers. Opportunities could include becoming a fitter, a workshop supervisor, or even moving into fleet engineering.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday. Ideally 8.00am - 4.30pm or 9.00am - 5.30pm, however open to other hours.
