Level 3 Apprentice Civil Engineering Technician "Oxford"
Apply civil engineering techniques, procedures and methods, and review the results, when measuring and testing, designing, installing, commissioning, maintaining or operating civil engineering systems.
Produce civil engineering technical solutions in accordance with relevant industry standards, procedures, codes of practice, regulations, and legislation
Comply with, and encourage others to demonstrate, statutory health, safety and welfare policies, procedures and regulation
Attend a day release online or in person course to learn the theory required to become a civil engineer.
Identify and use resources, equipment and technology to meet project requirements, including specifications, budget and timescales
Monitor and manage individual performance, and supervise others, recognising the need to comply with appropriate codes of practice and equality, diversity & inclusion (EDI) requirements
Communicate using appropriate methods for the audience, using appropriate engineering terminology and conventions
Apply ethical principles to civil engineering projects, including the secure use of data and information
Plan, undertake and review their own professional competence, updating and reviewing their CPD to improve performance
Training:
Training to gain a Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship qualification equivalent to "A" Levels will be done on a online day release program.
At present this will be online but we will consider your learning style and a suitable training college or university will be found to suit your location on a day release basis if required.
Training Outcome:
Upon completion you may continue to study in the same or other construction diciplines at Level 4 to 6 or remain working on site as a Civil Engineer to gain real life experience. Or join a graduate program to learn and earn at the sametime.

CoTrain is a program under SECBE . As a shared apprenticeship scheme and a Flexible Job Apprenticeship Agency partly funded by CITB to provide a route into industry for anyone wishing to complete an apprenticeship. We employ and mentor the apprentice and place them with our construction partners and colleges to gain the correct experience & skills to complete their qualifications.
Working Hours :
The working week is based on 39 hours and site start and finish times will vary but are typically 07:30am to 5:00pm with an hour for breaks during the day. College will be 9am till 5pm. Evening and weekends if required will be agreed beforehand.
