Early Years Practitioner L2 Apprenticeship
This role would be perfect for someone looking to grow into a long-term career as an early years educator. Please ensure you read the eligibility requirements for the role before applying. Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
-Supervising children and being aware of their needs, supporting them and keeping them safe.
-Giving the children new experiences and encouraging independence with support.
-Supporting and working with the rest of the team.
-Use initiative in helping with preparing activities, preparing snacks, garden supervision, washing children’s hands, etc.
-Recognizing the importance of promoting good health and safety routines.
-Working within the boundaries of the settings policies and procedures.
-Ensuring confidentiality of the children and staff is maintained.
-Preparing the environment to ensure that everything is kept in order, clean and all the equipment is complete and in good working condition.
Training:
-Early Years Practitioner L2 Apprenticeship.
-Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.
-An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Training Outcome:
Possible permanent position may be offered on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Employer Description:
Established for over 30 years and set in a large, detached building, with a large south facing garden, ABC Day Nursery offers high quality care and education for children aged 0 to five years. The nursery has a sister setting, ABC Hook Lane Nursery, which has been operational for nearly 20 years and caters for children aged two plus, situated in the Hotham area of Bognor Regis. Both settings are registered with OFSTED and have been awarded with a 'GOOD' outcome. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £7.55 per hour (As of the 1st April 2025). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16 to 18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their ages applies.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday (4 days only). Shifts to be confirmed.
