Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice

Learn and develop skills in all aspects of first and second fix joinery, including:

Installing windows and door Laying floor joists and boards Erecting stud walls and hanging doors Fitting architraves, skirting boards, door frames and linings Making/fitting Kitchen and commercial lab units including one off custom commercial projects Master the use of handheld and power tools such as drills, saws, routers, and laser levelling devices Working with Panel Saw/CNC / Nesting Machinery and Edge Banders Follow technical plans and instructions to complete high-quality work Collaborate with colleagues and customers to deliver exceptional results

Employer Description:
A family run business, with a very loyal client base, and strong local roots. In April 2012 the business was re branded as CBS (Cheshire) Ltd with a new company director taking over the helm. Still family run, the business is going from strength to strength with Investments being made in offices and equipment, and additional skilled workforce. We moved to our new premises in 2023 to establish and expand into panel processing and CNC manufacturing to complement our commercial contracting works. We are now expanding to offer bespoke fitted furniture and kitchens to our portfolio. With our 30 years’ experience working within the pharmaceutical industry, we have a highly skilled team that understands the needs of our clients. Ranging from maintenance to complete projects, our contracts have enabled us to gain invaluable experience throughout all types of commercial environments. From office and laboratory, through to clean rooms, sterile plants, server rooms and video conferencing suites. We have also worked within residential refurbishment projects and retail units.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 7.00am - 3.45pm
