Property Maintenance Apprentice

As an apprentice you will work as part of a team to deliver efficient, effective, and sustainable statutory maintenance service along with providing a reactive and minor works in general facilities maintenance.

Under guidance from our skilled engineers and mentors you will learn and complete practical building fabric tasks, such as perform maintenance and repairs to plumbing systems and maintenance, carpentry and joinery repairs and maintenance to internal and external building fabric. Gain skills in safe isolations and procedures required for building statutory maintenance.

Gain knowledge, skills and behaviours required as a qualified Property Maintenance Operative within a facilities maintenance environment.

Throughout your apprenticeship you will learn to perform maintenance repairs and installations this will grow and develop throughout your apprenticeship.

Planned and reactive maintenance repairs and inspections in line with statutory maintenance. General building fabric repairs replacing carpets tiles, fire door inspections and maintenance and more Minors replace and replacement of components and equipment Undertaking routine maintenance plumbing and water related maintenance checks. E.g. Legionella flushing

Training:
You will be required to attend college at the Somer Valley Campus, one day per week, term time only.

Training Outcome:
Progression to a Multi-Skilled Trade Operative with additional responsibility in the Facilities Management Team, including ongoing training and development to further skills and knowledge.
