Apprentice Terminal Operator

Below are some of the tasks that the successful candidates will be required to undertake as part of the role:

Safe operation of the storage plant and equipment. Routine operation of pumping and transfer systems. System configuration. Road loading and discharging operations. Jetty and shipping operations. Rigging of transfer hoses. Marine Arm operations. Slinging operations. Manual tank dipping. Product sampling. Operation of a range of machinery and pumps used in bulk storage operations.

Training:

Working towards a Level 3 Bulk storage terminal technician apprenticeship, including Functional Skills in English and maths if required.

The first year will be based at the Terminals and HCF Catch Training Facility in Immingham, with the requirement to attend the HCF Catch Training Facility over a number of 4-week residential blocks.

The second year will primarily be spent at the Terminals under a mentorship programme, with allocated weeks each month back at the Catch Training Facility in Immingham.



Training Outcome:

While this vacancy is for an Apprentice Terminal Operator at our sites, we offer opportunities for individuals to develop their careers across other aspects of the Navigator Terminals business (Operations Management, Safety Management, Control room operators, Shift Supervisors, Control of Works, Engineering, etc.). At the end of the apprenticeship program, a review of available permanent positions will take place.
