Groundworker Apprenticeship

To work under the direction and guidance of an experienced supervisor, getting involved in a range of construction projects from start to finish. Duties include:

• Installation, maintenance and removal of temporary safety barriers, signage, lighting

• Clearing and preparing site for construction works to start

• Preparing footings • Installing drainage systems and service ducts

• Concreting • Constructing roads and footpaths

• Laying kerbs and channels

• Block paving

• General labouring

• Complying with all health & safety legislation and company policies and procedures

Training:
The learner will be studying the Groundworker Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.

Training Outcome:

Following successful completion of this Apprenticeship you will be employed within the company as a qualified Groundworker. There would be further opportunities to train as a Plant Operator and after gaining the necessary experience training for supervisory or technical roles may be a future possibility.

Ashwell Construction Ltd are a medium sized groundworks & civils company based in Walsham le Willows carrying out housing, commercial, utilities and agricultural contracts throughout East Anglia. We have extensive experience in all aspect of groundworks and a clear objective to deliver both quality service and end product to our clients while operating within a safe and healthy working environment.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, between 7:30am and 4:30pm
