Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship

We are seeking to employ and train 3 craft apprentices.

 

You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as a craft apprentice. You can become a Skilled Fitter / Welder.

Job role will include:

Shadowing skilled fitters / welders and manufacturing engineers Fitting Welding Performance acceptance testing Continuous improvements activities

Using:

Joining Techniques - Vacuum Brazing, Welding capability Heat Treatment and Chemical Processing capability Components produced from a variety of different materials

Apprentices will be required to comply with all ethical, environmental and safety regulations. While onsite apprentices will rotate during year 2 throughout departments to ensure competency in all required skill sets.



Training:
This is a 4 year Level 3 Engineering Technician qualification You will be required to attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Telford, TF3 3AJ, full time for the first 12 months to undertake a variety of engineering training and theory work.

Qualifications include:

Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) 

Training Outcome:
You can become a Subject Matter Expert in Fitting, Welding or Sheet Metal Work on completion of the apprenticeship

Working Hours :
1st year: Monday- Thursday, 8.00am - 4.30pm and Friday, 8.00am - 12.30pm 2nd year onwards Monday- Thursday, 7.45am - 4.15pm and Friday, 7.45am - 12.45pm
