Childcare Apprenticeship - Smithswood

As an Apprentice, you will become a part of a experienced team from day one. You will gain knowledge and experience in all aspects of childcare and education, which will support you in gaining your qualification to a high standard. You will have the opportunity develop your skills in care, planning and assessment, safeguarding, Prevent, SEND, EYFS and Equality and Diversity.

Day-Day Responsibilities:

Actively participate in daily nursery activities, assisting with age-appropriate learning experiences for children. Help create and maintain a positive and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. Work under the guidance of senior staff members to develop your knowledge and skills in early childhood education. Join in with all aspects of nursery life, including engaging in play, supporting meal times, nap times, and outdoor activities. Maintain a professional attitude by respecting and adhering to confidentiality agreements, particularly regarding sensitive information about children and families. Understand and follow nursery policies and procedures, especially around safeguarding and child protection. Embrace the understanding that every child is unique, respecting their individual needs, preferences, and learning styles.

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Early Years Educator - Level 3.

Training Outcome:
Possibility of a full time role after the completion of the apprenticeship.

Employer Description:
We provide a high quality care and education service to Parents/Carers for their children aged 3months to 4 years 11 months. You will have the opportunity to be trained to a high standard in all aspects of childcare.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday (shifts range between 7:30am - 4:30pm).
