IT Digital Support Technician Apprentice
Learn to maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of College hardware and software.
Learn and demonstrate the necessary skills and behaviour to work securely across all platforms and areas of responsibility in line with College guidance and any respective legislation.
Learn to operate effectively a range of devices and apply structured techniques to common and non-routine problems.
Assist with user account problems, password resets, account lockouts etc.
Manage incidents and requests from end users.
Communicate with staff and students effectively.
Troubleshoot and solve problems with hardware and software.
Update and maintain standard operating procedures in a clear and concise manner.
Manage the department’s ticketing system, following procedures for escalating tickets.
Reconfigure hardware equipment depending on users’ needs.
Update and maintain accurate asset database.
Assist with the decommissioning of old equipment, liaising with relevant WEEE disposal companies.
Assist with the installation of new equipment.
Assist with College backups.
Learn about the importance of disaster recovery, how a plan works and is maintained.
Assist colleagues with IT, sharing any relevant knowledge and skills on its use.
Training:
The training will take place in your workplace with no requirement to attend College.
Training Outcome:
This apprenticeship will give the apprentice an excellent career in IT.

8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday - 45 minute lunch break
