Assistant Management Accountant Apprenticeship

Develop a strong understanding of the Management Accounts process. Be able to understand the implications of your tasks to the P+L and balance sheet. Preparation of commentary that adds value and supplement the Management Accounts, and present to Directors. Business partner with department directors in budget and forecasting. Maintain accurate reconciliations for P+L and Balance Sheet balances. Provide detail behind all workings. Present work in a professional manner and in a way that evokes confidence from other users. Offer suggestions for improvements to the Management Accounts Process. Create, enhance, and maintain working relationships with other departments.

Training:

ACCA Level 7

There are three levels including Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills and Strategic Professional.

Applied Knowledge helps you understand the role of accounting in the business environment, and develop the practical skills and techniques expected of an accountant working in business.

By studying Strategic Professional, you’ll learn advanced techniques, skills, and the professional ethics required of an accountant or consultant operating at a senior level. Once you’ve successfully passed you can apply to be a full member of ACCA.

The Apprenticeship standard details the essential Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours that somebody would need to demonstrate to be successful in this job role, this includes, Business Awareness, Ethics, Communication, Leadership, Planning and Prioritisation and Problem Solving. Apprentices will need to show they are competent in all the areas detailed in the standard when they take End Point Assessment.

The Knowledge areas of the standard will typically be covered through completion of the qualification. Skills and Behaviours are developed through workshops, e-learning, workplace training and practical experience provided ‘on-the-job’.
