2 apprentice park keepers

You will be:  

Doing general grounds maintenance work in parks including mowing, hedge cutting and weeding Using a range of powered hand tools, light plant, mowing  machinery and hand tools Giving out advice and information to the general public about the parks and encourage visitors in its proper use Assisting the parks team with supporting community events
 

Training:

The bulk of the training will be on-the-job but with regular attendance at a college to gain knowledge and skills in horticulture. 



Training Outcome:

While there is no guarantee of a job with the Council having completed the apprenticeship, apprentices often gain temporary or permanent jobs.

Working Hours :
You will work and work 37 hours per week which includes the time spent at college on a regular basis. Weekend work and evenings are a possibility. Shifts TBC.
