In Schools Sports is a franchise of Premier Education and delivers in primary schools across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. It has been delivering provisions for over 15 years, with currently over 40 staff members who educate and inspire the next generation!

Over the last 5 years, we have been lucky enough to be trusted in delivering over 10 Wrap Around Care Provisions within our Cambridgeshire and Norfolk area. We are looking for new candidates to join our teams within the Wrap Around Care Provisions.

The successful candidate will need to:

Have good Literacy and Numeracy skills, able to support children in reading, writing and maths as they will be allocated time to continue with their learning during the session. Will be able to prepare healthy snacks for the children Participate in a range of activities with the children during sessions both inside and outside. Be able to assist with the planning of activities, supporting and engaging with children during the sessions. Will have a general understanding of play work principals and seven characteristics of learning

Desirable:

Appropriate Level 2 (or above) qualification (Child Care related) Experience of working within a play-based setting Ability to work on your own initiative Appropriate child protection training Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate Food Hygiene Certificate

All training in the above will be available if successful within the interview process.

Training:

The apprenticeship training will take place within our selected schools, where you will gain hands-on experience in sports coaching. Additionally, you will have bi-weekly sessions with your tutor from Educationwise to support your learning and development.

Training Outcome:
Playworker progress into lead roles within our venues Management progress and senior lead roles Further progression into roles within primary school settings

Working Hours :
Before school, lunchtime, after-school clubs and curricular activities as well as holiday camps when out of school term. Days and times to be confirmed.
