Playworker Level 2 Apprenticeship

Playworkers work in a range of play settings offering different models of play work. The purpose of our curriculum is to support playworkers to develop into positive, flexible and team-focused members of staff, and to support them to provide the best possible provision for the children in their care.

Training:
NVQ Level 2 Playworker qualification. Level 2 Functional skills in maths and English, if required. Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.

Training Outcome:
Progress within your setting as a supervisor or manager. Work as a play work development officer for a local authority. Move into a school as a Teaching Assistant. Become self-employed and set up an after-school club or childcare project. Move into an Early Years setting and proceed with an Early Years Educator Level 3 apprenticeship.

Employer Description:
At Chill Out Time Childcare we will develop confidence, self-esteem and independent thinking in the children we care for. We offer out of school childcare as part of our services. We are currently expanding as part of the National Wraparound programme and we are looking to recruit a level 2 PLAYWORK apprentice. Chill Out Cheetahs are children aged three years and over who access our breakfast and after school clubs. We strongly believe that this time is the children's OWN time, so we encourage children to play their own way with adults supporting and encouraging their interests. The children have access to outdoor spaces where they can run and let off steam after their school day, and we also offer quieter activities for those that would just like to 'Chill' We are looking for the ideal candidate who is reliable, enthusiastic, and can offer children positive experiences before and after school mainly through games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.

Working Hours :
School Term time only. Monday to Friday 7:15am - 9:00am. Monday to Friday 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
