Apprentice Engineering Technician

Training in panel wiring and building. Training in repairing inverters, motors and battery chargers. Understanding electrical schematics. Repairing units, under supervision. Assisting with assembly of control systems. Should be able to test and repair with minimal supervision. Further training with documentation and controls. Involvement in development projects, assisting with the design and build of test equipment.

Training:
Engineering technician level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. Training with mentor and assessor. 2 days per week at Telford College.

Training Outcome:

Potential progression, with Further training and education to:

Applications Engineer. Technical Sales Engineer. Production Engineer. Software Engineer.
