Apprentice Metal Fabricator
Learn to measure, cut, and shape pipes to precise specifications for pump systems.
Master MIG, TIG, and MMA welding to join pipes and metal components, ensuring strong and leak-proof connections.
Work alongside experienced technicians to assemble and install pipework into high-performance pump systems.
Training:
Year 1
1 day a week at Appris Training Centre, Bradford, studying:
EAL Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence – Fabrication & Welding)
Year 2
1 day a week at Appris Training Centre, Bradford, studying:
EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering- Year 1 of 2 (Development Knowledge – Fabrication & Welding)
Year 3
1 day a week at Appris Training Centre, Bradford, studying:
EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering- Year 1 of 2 (Development Knowledge – Fabrication & Welding)
Year 1 to Year 4
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Fabrication & Welding Engineering (Pipe & Tube Fabrication): Internal training, development and mentoring with highly skilled engineers in a variety of project and support based areas and other engineering related duties and requirements.

Working Hours :
37 hours a week Monday to Thursday 07.00- 15.30 & Friday 07.00- 12.00 One half hour unpaid break per day.
