Apprentice - Electrical Technician (Level 3)

Wiring of assemblies in accordance with schematic drawings and wiring diagrams for electricity transmission.  Preparing, crimping, terminating and looming wires and cables in accordance with general arrangement, schematic and wiring diagrams.  Completing all wiring to customer specification.  Uploading configurations, creating test systems and testing substation protection and control systems across multiple industries.  Working within the Testing and Wiring Team, reporting to a Team Leader as well as interacting with other parts of the business covering project delivery, proposals, sales and procurement.  Gaining skills working on various software packages and testing tools, as well as the engineering processes required to help deliver complex solutions.  Identifying and implementing business improvements.   Analysing engineering problems related to equipment and systems or the causes of component failures and develop solutions.  Leading small projects that are assigned to you.  Supporting Factory / Site Acceptance / Integration Testing procedures. Assisting with site installation and commissioning works.

Training Outcome:

After the apprenticeship, subject to a good training record, you will progress into a permanent role as a Electrical Technician.
