Early Years Practitioner Apprentice

Engage and interact with children of all ages (0-5 years). Attend training sessions to support learning and development. Work closely with Senior staff to develop skills and your understanding of our amazing profession. Support the children with hygiene routines & all areas of their development. Help to maintain an exciting and safe learning environment. Support the children to succesfully engage with the learning environment (both indoors and outdoors). Support the team to establish meaningful activities, which encorage the children's development.

Training:
Formal qualifications training consisting of webinars and face-to-face meetings with your assessor. In-house training sessions commencing from you induction and focusing on our unique setting and the high standards to which we operate.

Training Outcome:

Once qualified, you will use your knowedge to further develop your skills in planning and supporting the children's development.

This could then proceed to supporting the running of specific rooms, being assigned specific long-term projects, such as PE sessions, Literacy/Maths Champion or progressing to becoming one of our designated persons for Equality, Special Educational Needs and eventually having the opportunity to apply for a Senior position such as a Room Leader.

The Wendy House Day Nursery (Impington) first opened in 2011 and has since moved location, in 2019, to a large site that offers greater indoor and outdoor space for the children. We are rated Outstanding by Ofsted and are Millie's Mark accredited (the kite mark for first aid in Early Years). We pride ourselves in providing the best care and education for young children and for operating to exceptionally high standards.

Working Hours :
40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Shifts TBC.
