Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship

Initially working alongside and observing a qualified dental nurse in a surgery setting Learning how the decontamination process works and how to effectively sterilise instruments Learning about the extensive variety of instruments used within the practice and what different treatments they may be used for Learning how to record the charting teeth during examinations and note down any treatment that may need to be carried out

Day to day tasks you could be doing:

Assisting the dentist in clinical procedures, providing chairside assistance Keeping high standards of infection control whilst following practice policy and procedure Preparing instruments for use Monitor stock levels for all materials Sterilising Dental equipment according practice procedures Handling lab work and arranging deliveries

Training:
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying The candidate will have needed to achieve a 4/C or equivalent in their GCSE maths & English to complete the Level 3 apprenticeship

Training Outcome:

A full-time team member at the practice.
