Carpentry & Joinery Apprentice

Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures, fittings, and furniture Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and plans Use a range of hand and power tools to complete tasks under supervision. Support the team in ensuring projects are completed to high standards and within deadlines Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies on-site and in the workshop Creating door frames Hanging doors Fitting hinges Creating window frames and installing floor joists coverings Boxing in pipework Measuring, marking out, cutting, finishing, positioning, and securing wood Safely storing materials, without causing damage

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Training Outcome:

There are many different routes within Wates after successful completion.

The right candidate could move into a permanent role, and we have a Trainee Management programme.
