Childcare Apprentice
To assist with the planning of the Early Years Foundation Stage
To help set up the playroom for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session
To act as a key worker to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/ carers and ensuring each child’s need are recognised and met
To advise the Room Leader of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or the safety of equipment preserving confidentiality as necessary
To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation
Working within the required standards, ratios, conditions of registration and EYFS Statutory Framework
To attend staff meetings from 18:00 - 19:00 on the first Thursday of every month
Training:
Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
All training is work-based (no college) Functional skills in maths and English (if required)Training Outcome:
Potential job opportunities or progression onto a higher-level apprenticeship
