Stop Smoking Advisor Apprentice - Surrey based

This role is based in Surrey and will require travel to Surrey frequently.

A typical day as a Stop Smoking Advisor might include:

Delivering evidence-based interventions that focus on smoking cessation, behaviour change, and psychological support to save lives by helping smokers to quit for good Attending face-to-face stop smoking clinics and working with clients on a one-to-one basis in person to support them with their quit attempt. • Working with partner organisations and colleagues in Primary Care to help improve patient uptake and meet targets Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for clients using our policies and procedures Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments - we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources Ensuring due consideration if given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values

We’re looking for someone who can combine health improvement knowledge with first class communication and motivational skills. If you have experience of working alongside people to promote healthy lifestyles, and a real understanding of the impact personal characteristics and circumstances can have on health behaviours then we want to hear from you. Similarly, if you have a lived experience of becoming smokefree and/or have a good understanding of the local communities we wish to support, that would be hugely advantageous too.

However, we hire based on attitude over traditional skills and experience so if you feel you are right for the job we would love to hear from you!



Training:
This apprenticeship is delivered as a day release at our campus in Stratford You will be required to attend college every week Level 3 Community Health and Wellbeing worker Behaviour, Skills and Knowledge

Training Outcome:
There is an opportunity to secure a permanent position after successfully completing the apprenticeship

We’ve partnered with leading wellbeing providers MAN v FAT, Slimming World and gloji, offering tools and support to guide you every step of the way. This service is funded by Surrey County Council and provided by Thrive Tribe.

Working Hours :
Depending on the availability of clinic locations, the role may involve evening and weekend work. The contract will be made up of 4 working days plus 1 study day. There will be a 30-minute lunch break per day. This is fixed term role for 12 months
