Industrial Door Apprentice
Assist with the installation, repair and maintenance of industrial doors
Work safely and responsibly in workshops and on-site environments
Understand and apply basic engineering concepts, materials, and practices
Develop skills in interpreting diagrams, using tools precisely, and resolving technical issues
Learn and practice welding techniques as part of the role and qualification
Conduct routine safety checks to ensure compliance with standards
Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
Training:
Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
In addition to your on-the-job training, you will attend Stoke-on-Trent College's Burslem Campus one day per week for workshop & classroom based learningTraining Outcome:
Three direct career options straight from apprentice, as during employment CSCS & IPAF will be completed, as well as the apprenticeship

Established in 1992, DFI is a family run business. DFI specialise in the in the manufacture, installation, service and repair of commercial, industrial & retail doors.
Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm (including 30 min lunch break) In addition, there may also be a need for occasional travel time, overtime and callouts.
