QC Laboratory Technician Apprentice
This will be an active role, taking samples of raw materials and finished products from the shop floor to ensure they meet the required specifications.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, and working under the daily supervision of other site managers, the successful applicant will be required to undertake the following duties:
Key Responsibilities:
Routine sampling and testing of incoming raw materials and finished products using a wide range of analytical equipment and test methods e.g., particle size analysis, XRD, solids content, density, ash content, viscosity, pH, TGA, BET, SEM/EDX (Full training will be provided) Accepting or rejecting materials based on documented specifications and raising non-compliance reports Preparation of samples for use in laboratory analysis, R&D or as finished goods samples for customers Working to strict quality protocols using standard laboratory practices and SOPs Reporting of work in a timely and accurate manner Administrative duties e.g., receiving of deliveries and production data entry General maintenance of laboratory areas and equipmentTraining:
Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship Standard.
1 day per week in college, at Kirklees College, Waterfront Centre in Huddersfield.
You will complete an End Point Assessment this will involve the following:
Knowledge test Observation with questioning An interviewTraining Outcome:
Once our apprentice has completed their Apprenticeship, subject to vacancies at the time, there will be an opportunity to apply for further employment.
