Bricklaying Apprentice

Whilst working at Matt The Brick your duties will include: 

Laying bricks according to plans, spreading mortar, using a trowel, cutting bricks to size, and ensuring proper alignment with tools like spirit levels and plumb lines Measuring work areas, setting out the first rows of bricks, preparing the foundation for brickwork Manually digging trenches to start the foundation for the bricklaying to commence Mixing mortar by hand or with a machine, loading and unloading bricks and other materials Adhering to site safety regulations, using proper protective gear, and reporting any hazards Observing and assisting skilled workers, gaining knowledge of different bricklaying techniques, and best practices  Any other duties outlined by your team leader

Training:
4 days on site and one day at our Green Lane campus in Walsall per week An extra day at Green Lane if English and math's is required

Training Outcome:
A full time position will be offered upon successful completion of your apprenticeship

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, hours may vary from 7am to 3pm or 8am to 4pm. You may be required to work some Saturdays.
